Contra Projects is a space by and for artists from Latin America, the Caribbean, and our communities across the U.S. Based in a repurposed barn-garage in Rhinebeck, NY, we come together to share stories, question power, and build new ways of thinking through art and design. With a focus on curatorial collaborations and discursive programs, Contra cultivates approaches that challenge sociopolitical frameworks and dominant cultural narratives, catalyzing transnational exchange through exhibition-making and opportunities to gather.
